Rapid prototyping refers to a group of techniques that can build up required prototypes quickly. 3D printing, CNC machining and Vacuum casting are three major technologies we offer for rapid prototyping.
3D Printing Solutions
3D printing refers an addictive manufacturing process that build up three dimensional objects layer by layer from digital files by depositing materials. There are several technologies fall into this category, such as FDM(Fused deposition modeling), SLA(Stereolithography), SLS(Selective laser sintering), SLM(Selective laser melting) etc. You have probably heard of FDM, as most personal 3D printers, such as Makerbot replicators are FDM printers using filament materials. Let’s take a look at each solution in details.

CNC machining, in contrast with addictive manufacturing, is a subtractive manufacturing process, often used to build metal components. Instead of building up, CNC control the tools to cut a block of material to the desired structure.
Vacuum casting-Fill the gap between prototyping and production
Vacuum casting is a quick and cheap molding method ideal for low volume production. It uses silicone to form the mold and inject infill materials to create the product. Your parts will be ready without any hard tooling involved. You can test, verify the product or even test the market quickly without spending lots of money and time at hard tooling. The properties of the vacuum casting parts can be equivalent with production parts. The process involves the following steps.
1). Create the master pattern using CNC machining or 3D printing.
2). Silicon will be poured around the master pattern to solidify and form the mold. Vacuum casting machine plays an important role during this process, as vacuum environment prevents bubbles forming in the silicon, ensuring the quality of the silicon mold.
3).Once solidified, silicon mold will be cut open and master pattern will be removed. Now, the silicon mold is ready for use.
4).Again with vacuum casting machine, infill material will be injected into the silicon mold. Once solidified, the product can be removed from the mold and post-processed to the finished product. Infill material is the material of the product.

Common materials includes ABS、Polypropylene(PP)、Polycarbonate(PC)、Polymethylmethacrylic(PMMA)、Polyacetal(POM) etc. We will choose ideal material to meet your requirements, whether it is hardness, clarity, flexibility thermal properties or impact resistance, to give it an equivalent look and feel and functions as a true production part.
